Well we finally started our cross country adventure.  We left on April 19th and made a stop over in Wytheville, VA.  A small, southern town with very friendly people who kept saying "y'all".  We ran into rain a good deal of the trip, but that was okay since it was a day of driving.  We had dinner at a restaurant that was in a log cabin that was originally built in 1776.  Hence the name "The Log Cabin 1776".

On our way to Nashville today we came across a newly married couple traveling on their honeymoon.  Thought you might enjoy this.

Notice the two different writings on the back window and the tail gate.  Now I know we are truly in the South.

The weather today turned cold and rainy.  Temps in the low 60's.  We visited The Hermitage, home of President Andrew Jackson.  Interesting to see and learn.

We also visited The Grand Old Opry.  No shows while we are here but we took a look around.  There is a big mall adjacent to the Grand Old Opry but is entirely closed.  Last year at this time the entire area was flooded.
